For more than two decades, Dr. Kupeyan has been providing the highest level of restorative options to patients who have missing or damaged teeth as a result of trauma, neglect or congenital defects.

Dr. Kupeyan graduated from the University of Toronto dental school in 1977. He began practicing general dentistry and during those four years developed an interest in aesthetic and restorative treatment. To further his education, Dr. Kupeyan pursued an additional two years of specialist training in Restorative Dentistry at the University of Michigan where he received his Master of Science degree in 1983. At this time he was also licensed as a Prosthodontist by the Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario.

Prosthodontists specialize in treating a wide variety of complex dental conditions and restoring optimal function and aesthetics. Because of their extensive training and experience, they have a special understanding of the dynamics of the human smile, the preservation of oral health, and the creation of tooth and related-tissue replacements.

Since obtaining his prosthodontic license, Dr. Kupeyan has continued his involvement with dental education. He has taught prosthodontic students at the University of Michigan since 1983. In 1987, he also began training and continues to train other dentists in both restorative and surgical aspects of dental implants at his teaching facility in Windsor.

Dr. Kupeyan’s research activities have focused on evaluating implants and restorative components and providing restorative solutions to patients with temporomandibular joint disorder (TMD). His collaboration and research has been published in dental journals. Dr. Kupeyan’s study on immediate provisional crowning implants was one of the first published in the dental literature.

With age, many people lose their teeth due to disease, injury and even wear, and the absence of teeth places unnatural stress on the mouth’s structure and shape. Such stress can cause unwanted changes to one’s facial appearance, as well as detrimental effect on confidence and self-esteem. The efforts of
Dr. Kupeyan and his highly trained team of dental professionals and technicians can reverse these impacts.
